Power Wheelchairs Training

October 9, 2007 the Assistive Technology Training was presented for professionals from Grand Rapids, Brainerd, Bemidji, Hibbing, Virginia, Cook, Aurora, St Cloud, Duluth & Superior.
Medicare will require credentialing of of professionals by April 2008. To assist them in the process Wheelchairs Plus, Inc of Grand Rapids, a regional provider with decades of experience with this equipment along with Pride Mobility, a major manufacturer of specialized power wheelchairs provided 8 hours of CEU training on October 9th at Forest Lake restaurant in Grand Rapids.

This course can be repeated if interest is expressed. The credentialing organization is RESNA (Rehabilitiation Engineering Society of North America). They require that the application to sit for the examination be submited to RESNA six weeks in advance of the test date.
